Quick Pizza Dough Recipe

This quick pizza dough recipe makes four or six servings.

Tip #2: You can mix this by hand, but a food processor with a steel blade makes life simpler.

Quick Pizza Dough Recipe


4 cups flour
2 (8-g) packages of instant yeast
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sugar
water as needed
2 teaspoons of olive oil


Using your food process, combine the flour, salt, sugar and yeast.

Warm the water and oil until it feels hot. The temperature should be approximately 125°F or a little warmer.

Allow the food processor's motor to run, and slowly pour in the heated water and oil through the feed tube.

Process this, adding a couple of extra teaspoons of cold water if needed. The mixture should form a ball.

When a ball has formed, process for one additional minute. This is in lieu of kneading.

Sprinkle a surface with a little flour and turn the dough out on this surface.

Cover your dough and let it stand for ten minutes.

After ten minutes, divide the dough into two equal balls. Using your lightly floured surface, roll each ball out until it forms a circle that is approximately 12 inches.

Place each circle in a twelve inch pizza pan.

Add pizza toppings to your pizza dough as desired and cook in a hot oven until the dough is done. Start testing after about ten minutes.
