Halloween Pizza Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound frozen bread dough -- thawed
2 tsp vegetable oil
1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
1 can (15 oz) Tomato sauce or pizza sauce
1 tbsp chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1 tsp dried oregano leaves
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
4 oz sliced Pepperoni or salami
Green pepper strips
Ripe olives -- sliced
This recipe makes two pizzas. You will need two pizza pans
or baking sheets.
Preheat your oven to 325 °F.
Divide your bread dough into two rolls. Roll each half to form a ten or twelve inch circle on your pizza pan. Turn up the edges about one half of an inch and pinch.
Brush the dough with the oil and sprinkle the Mozzarella evenly over top. In a separate bowl, combine the tomato or pizza sauce, onion, salt and spices. Drizzle this over your unbaked dough.
Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over all.
To Decorate
Place overlapping slices of meat around the edge of the pizza. Using the olive slices,form eyes, and use the green pepper strips to make eyebrows, a nose and a mouth.
Bake for approximately twenty minutes, or longer. The crust will be brown when it is finished.
Your Halloween Pizza is good any day, with or without the face. Simply sprinkle the meats and vegetables evenly over the top.
