This avocado bread recipe is a quick bread. It's both unusual and healthy. It tastes good too!
Tip: If you don't want to buy buttermilk, make a substitute by mixing milk and white vinegar. The ratio is one cup of milk to one tablespoon of vinegar. Mix and let sit for five minutes.

Avocado Bread Recipe
2 cups of all purpose flour
3/4 cup of sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 ripe avocado, mashed
1/2 cup of buttermilk
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Grease a Farberware Bakeware 9-by-5-Inch Loaf Pan.
Mix together the flour, sugar, pecans, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix the egg, avocado and buttermilk. Whisk these ingredients together.
Add this mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir to moisten.
Pour this into your pan. Place in oven and bake until done. Typically, this takes about 40 minutes or a little longer.
Remove from oven and cool your avocado bread recipe before serving.
